As we reach new paths once again I found my old book with one of my most favorite authors, Lucy Swindoll - Catching Anxiety.

When we talk about the idea of celebrating God's sovereignty, it sounds like a heavy assignment, doesn't it? But, it's not. You know what it means? It means taking God at His word. It means stepping out there by faith because you believe God's dependability is going to be there even though you may be scared to death. It means knowing God will straighten out a relationship that has become awkward or confused. It means obeying God even when the final outcome is far from clear. It means trusting God to supply and provide in a situation where it looks like the odds are absolutely against you. Each of these situations is entered by faith. But that's how we have been commanded to live. We're not given an alternative. In fact, the Bible says that without faith, we cannot possibly please God. But, the object of our faith is not some blind alley. It's the eternal, loving, gracious, caring Father who is sovereign. Faith looks forward. Faith hopes. Faith endures. And faith has a reason to do all this because the Object of our faith cannot make a mistake with our lives. Remember, faith is activated in direct porportion to our image of God and our belief in His abililty to make a difference in our lives. Trust Him to take charge! It will make all your anxieties sit down and shut up.

Remember this one Laurie??

Life passes like a flash of lightening whose blaze barely
lasts long enough to see. While the earth and the sky stand
still forever, how swiftly changing time flies across man's
face. O you who sit over your full cup and do not drink, tell
me........for whom are you still waiting for?

Shelly and the Hurricane

For all of you that know Shelly know that not even a hurricane will stop this woman from being on the beach!! Crazy Shelly. Thanks for hanging with us on our hurricane week-end. No damage, no rain but a bit windy with some BIG waves! All is well still!

peace

it does not mean to be in a place
where there is no noise, trouble
or hard work. it means to be in the
midst of those things and still
be calm in your heart.

We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.
